With Donaldson's sign-up, Czech golf fans can look forward to all three of the Czech Masters champions so far held by Relmost. In addition to Welsh who dominated the first year, Thomas Pieters (2015) and last year's winner Paul Peterson will also arrive. "Even on Thursday morning, when I received the last update of players before the midnight deadline, Donaldson's name was missing, but on Friday morning he was among the entrants, we are happy him to come," said Zdeněk Jehlička, Head of Golf in Relmost.

PietersThomas Pieters will not miss the torunament at Albatross this year! Currently, the 23rd player of the world confirmed his participation and immediately became one of the biggest tournament stars. And he will try to repeat his victory in 2015.

fitzpatrickMatthew Fitzpatrick has become the latest star to add his name to what is already the strongest field in the three-year history of the D+D REAL Czech Masters, as the two-time European Tour winner confirmed his return to Prague next month.

Albatross Golf Resort will once again host the Czech Republic's national Open from August 18-21 and the third edition has already attracted some of the European Tour's biggest names, with Fitzpatrick joining fellow Englishmen Andy Sullivan and Lee Westwood as well as Welsh Ryder Cup hero and former winner Jamie Donaldson.

Fitzpatrick finished in third place last year, three shots behind winner Thomas Pieters of Belgium, before going on to claim his maiden European Tour title at the British Masters supported by Sky Sports two months later.

andysullivanAndy Sullivan has joined his fellow Englishman Lee Westwood and Welshman Jamie Donaldson as the latest European Ryder Cup hopeful to be confirmed for this year's D+D REAL Czech Masters, which returns to Albatross Golf Resort from August 18-21.

The tournament, which takes place just outside the Czech capital of Prague, has become hugely popular with the stars of the European Tour and enjoyed two worthy winners in its first two years – Donaldson in 2014 and Belgian Thomas Pieters last year.

Much like two years ago, when Donaldson's victory sealed his place in Paul McGinley's Ryder Cup team at Gleneagles – where he went on to hit the winning shot for Europe – this year's third edition could play a big part in the make-up of Darren Clarke's side for the upcoming showdown at Hazeltine National.

As the penultimate event of the Ryder Cup race on this side of the Atlantic, Sullivan will be hoping he is still right in the mix for qualification and he is relishing a return to Albatross, where he played in 2014 before going on to become a three-time European Tour winner in a stunning 2015 campaign.

The third year of D+D REAL Czech Masters will be held from the 18th to the 21st August, once again in Albatross Golf Resort near Prague. Lee Westwood is the confirmed star of this year's tournament.

"The tournament has developed rapidly over the three years. The positive evaluation received from the European Tour and growing interest of spectators and business partners contribute to this. This year's starting lineup will therefore be stronger than ever before in the Czech Republic," Petr Dědek, the owner of the promoter RELMOST says.

The English player Lee Westwood is a former world number one. Westwood took down Tiger Woods in 2010 and has won 42 world titles so far. He is a regular support of the European Ryder Cup Team – he has turned 9 participations in 7 victories. At the beginning of his professional carrier, he played three European Tour tournaments in the Czech Republic. He played twice in Mariánské Lázně and once in Karlštejn between 1995 and 1997. He has keen memories of the Czech Republic, as he always ranked among the top ten players.
